About

The Kiwanis Down Syndrome Foundation (KDSF) National Centre was established in 1989 by members of the Kiwanis Club of Kuala Lumpur to provide education and support for children with Down Syndrome. The center has since grown to become a leading provider of early intervention and therapy services for these children in Malaysia.

Key services and programs offered by the KDSF National Centre include:

  • Early Intervention Programme (EIP): Provides comprehensive support for infants and toddlers with Down Syndrome, including therapy, education, and parent training.
  • In-house professional therapies: Offers a range of specialized therapies, such as sensory integration intervention, autism movement therapy, rhythmic movement training, and water specific therapy.
  • Educational programs: Provides educational programs for children with Down Syndrome, including infant stimulation, toddler, and special education programs.

The KDSF National Centre is committed to providing affordable and accessible services to families of children with Down Syndrome. The center relies heavily on donations and fundraising to support its operations, and is always seeking additional funding to ensure that it can continue to provide its essential services.
